“Where Shall We Eat?” How DinebyMe’s Smart Filters & AI Concierge Solved the Hardest Question in Dining

The Universal Dining Struggle

It happens every single weekend across the UK:

"Where shall we eat tonight?" "I don't know, whatever you want!" "How about that burger spot?" "Nah, had burgers on Tuesday." "What about that new restaurant on the high street?" "Does it serve alcohol? Is it HMC certified? Does it have private booths for the family? Is it too loud to talk?"

Before you know it, 45 minutes have evaporated, everyone is hangry, and you settle for the same mediocre takeaway you've had ten times this year.

Why We Built DinebyMe

We created DinebyMe specifically to take the friction out of halal dining. No more digging through three different apps or calling venues ahead of time to verify their alcohol policy or kitchen certifications.

To make deciding effortless for everyone, we designed three complementary ways to find where to eat:

1. ⚡ Simple Filters (For Quick Decisions)

If you don't want a wall of checkboxes, our Simple Filter mode keeps things clean and fast:

• UK City / Area: Select your city or tap Use my live GPS location.
• Popular Cuisines: Fast 1-tap toggles for Burgers, Steaks, Turkish, Indian, Karahi, Italian, and Desserts.
• Halal Assurance & Alcohol: Fast filters for HMC Certified Only or 100% Alcohol-Free.
• Spend: Clear price bands from budget (£6–£18 pp) to fine dining (£35–£65+ pp).

2. ⚙️ Advanced Filters (For Laser-Targeted Requirements)

Taking your wife out for an anniversary, organizing a 12-person family gathering, or travelling between cities? Switch to Advanced Filters to pinpoint:

• Dining Companion: With Wife (Date Night), With Family & Kids, Work Lunch, Solo Bite.
• Party Size: Dedicated seating logic for 10+ Large Group Banquets.

3. 🤖 The AI Food Concierge (Chat Naturally)

Can't be bothered clicking filters at all? Tap the ✨ Ask Concierge button in the bottom right corner of your screen. Just describe your evening in your own words:

"I'm in Birmingham with my wife and parents. Need an alcohol-free steakhouse or grill with private booths and parking under £30 per person."

Our AI concierge reads through all 1,360+ verified venues and live scraped menus to return the top 3 best-matching restaurants with exact dish names and prices.

4. 🎡 The Food Spot Wheel (When Nobody Can Make Up Their Mind)

When decision paralysis strikes and everyone keeps saying "I don't mind", let the Food Spot Wheel make the executive decision. Choose your city, spin the wheel, and let fate settle the debate fairly!
